These salted caramel oat bars bring trendy flavor to wholesome oats.
Ingredients
- 200g rolled oats
- 100g butter
- 100g maple syrup
- 50g light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp sea salt (plus extra flaky salt for topping)
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan)
- Line a 20cm square tin with baking paper
- Melt butter, maple syrup, sugar, and almond butter in a pan
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and salt
- Mix in oats until well coated
- Press firmly into tin, sprinkle with flaky sea salt
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden
- Cool completely before cutting
