These carrot ginger cubes bring warming flavor and nutrients to your water, juices, or wellness drinks. The carrots add natural sweetness and beta-carotene, the ginger brings warmth and anti-inflammatory benefits.
What you need
- 2 medium carrots
- 1 inch fresh ginger root
- 1/2 cup water or orange juice
- Optional: a squeeze of lemon juice
How to make it
- Wash and roughly chop the carrots (no need to peel if organic)
- Peel and chop the ginger
- Blend carrots, ginger, and water until completely smooth
- Add lemon juice if using
- Pour into ice cube trays
- Freeze for at least 4 hours
Why this works
No cooking, pure ingredients. The carrots are naturally sweet and the ginger adds a warming kick. Drop a cube into hot water for instant wellness tea, or add to smoothies for extra nutrients and flavor.
Practical tip: Start with less ginger if you're sensitive to spice - you can always add more next time. Use orange juice instead of water for sweeter cubes. These work great in both hot and cold drinks.
