Sweet and salty, indulgent, ready in 15 minutes
These salted caramel bites taste like the trendy flavor combination but are made with dates for natural caramel sweetness.
What you need
- 1 cup dates (pitted, Medjool preferred)
- 1/2 cup cashews
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons almond butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (plus extra for topping)
How to make it
- Soak dates in warm water for 10 minutes, drain
- Add all ingredients to food processor
- Pulse until mixture is sticky and caramel-colored
- Roll into small balls
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt on top
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes
- Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks
Why this works
No cooking, pure indulgence. The dates create natural caramel flavor, and the sea salt makes it sophisticated. Perfect for sweet-salty cravings.
Practical tip: Use Medjool dates for the best caramel flavor. The sea salt on top is essential - don't skip it. These taste like salted caramels.
