- Optional: 1 teaspoon honey or agave
- Ice cube tray

- Zest one lemon finely
- Mix lemon juice, zest, poppy seeds, and water
- Add honey if using
- Stir well (poppy seeds will settle, that's fine)
- Pour into ice cube tray
- Freeze for at least 4 hours
How to use
Drop into water for instant lemon water. Add to iced tea for brightness. Melt into yogurt or oatmeal for breakfast.
Why this works
Lemon is always good. Poppy seeds add visual interest and a tiny bit of crunch. It's familiar but not boring.
Practical tip: The poppy seeds sink to the bottom of the tray. Give the mixture a quick stir halfway through freezing if you want them distributed evenly.
